In a nutshell: Polish History of a Bear named Voytek

The story of the Polish Bear (mascot of the Polish Army) named Voytek (Wojtek), which in fact was an Iranian Bear Cub, is captured beautifully in this illustrated book for both adults and children.

The story of Voytek will take you from Persia (Iran) to a small airfield in the heart of Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders and on to Edinburgh Zoo, Scotland.
